Evaluation the antihyprlipidemic effect of apigenin flavonoid in mice

The study’s aim was to examine the antihyperlipidemic effect of apigenin in mice as a model. Healthy adult albino either sex were selected use for this study. Four groups animals formed 5 each. Animals Group 1 served negative control and fed standard diet tap water. Groups 2,3 4 fatty 1% water with H2O2 90 days induce hyperlipidemia. After hyperlipidemic induction, group 2 positive control, whereas 3 treated orally 50 mg/kg/day 14 constitutive days. by rosuvastatin (an antihyprlipidemic drug) at 7 mg/kg Blood samples collected from all beginning study measure lipid profile. Then these rechecked again after 12 weeks feeding high-fat diet, then end experiment groups. results demonstrated that 50mg/kg significantly reduced hyperlipidemia manifested decreased TC, LDL-C, Triglyceride elevation HDL-C comparison group. results, obtained accordance those drug TC LDL-C. This concluded lowered plasma cholesterol triglycerides levels mice.
